8TH GRADE YARD SIGN DESIGN CONTEST

We want YOU, our current 8th graders, to help us create the design for your 2025 promotion yard signs! These signs will be printed and sold to 8th grade families to post in your front yards this spring. Please create a design in Canva (or a similar program) and submit your design below by January 22, 2025. Eighth grade students will then vote on their favorite design.

8th Grade Information

As the last year in Middle School, they will become more independent and be getting ready for High School.
They will also have a lot of events and activities related to trips, promotion, etc. This page will give some information about these events & activities. We also provide links for future education pathways.

Banner Signing Day

The MRMS 8th graders sign a banner that will be saved and brought out at their MRHS graduation. It’s a fun annual tradition that takes place during the school day. The PTSO will use funds from yard sign sales to purchase this banner and ice cream to celebrate each 8th grader on Signing Day!

Promotion Ceremony

The 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony date is TBD. The PTSO will use funds from yard sign sales to purchase decorations and refreshments for the ceremony, as well as a small gift for each student.
