MRMS Clubs
* Please note that clubs are school-sponsored and PTSO involvement is limited to passing along information to families and helping to support the school with volunteers etc. as needed. *
Clubs at MRMS focus on fun, socializing, and promoting the five Portrait of a Graduate skills. Clubs this year will emphasize soft skills such as communication and leadership, socializing, physical activity, and other aspects of self-care.
Day, Time, Cycle
Clubs will cycle 3 times. Students will get to experience 3 clubs unless they sign up for a yearlong club. This allows more students to participate in the most popular clubs and more variety for students. Clubs will be offered on some Wednesdays, usually once a month, but twice in months like October when there are few days off or other breaks.
Offerings
MRMS is not offering Science Olympiad, a competitive club. During this time, they are offering Young Scientists, a club anyone can join and enjoy. MRMS does have a competitive Robotics Team that meets after school and on some Saturdays; however, the Robotics Club on this list is open to all students. (Likewise, signing up for this club does not mean you are in the competitive Robotics Club.) They have also added a few “study hall” options for students who simply want extra time to study.
Eligibility
MRMS hopes to allow all students the opportunity to enjoy the experience if they are interested. Clubs that say they “compete” or “perform” in their club description are limited to the students in the club and it is only to promote fun and engagement. (There is no audience, and no one is keeping score.)
List of Clubs
The tentative clubs are listed below. Please note that this list may change, as it depends on student enrollment.
